The Pakistan Super League draft took place on 12 December 2021 at the High-Performance Centre in Lahore. All teams were allowed to keep eight players and makeup up eight transfers. The PSL Authority has shared the rules and regulations for the draft on Twitter. There will be a maximum of four foreigners per team. This means that every 16-man squad will have a minimum of one foreign player and one local player. Teams will also be required to draft three foreign players during their first nine picks. The PSL has also introduced a Wild card and Right Match card system, whereby teams can pick a player who was released by another team.
Other players selected in the draft are Dale Steyn, Rilee Rossouw, Samit Patel, and Moeen Ali. Other top-ranked players include Ben Cutting, Rilee Rossouw, and Blessing Muzarabani. A number of players are emerging, as well, including the Karachi Kings’ Noor Ahmad, who won the PCB Domestic Cricketer of the Year Award 2021. Lahore Qalandar also picked up pacer Mohammad Imran Randhawa.

The PCB has determined the date of the PSL Draft 2022. It will be held on Sunday, 12 December 2022, at the High-Performance Centre in Lahore. The draft will begin at 3pm.
